The Greatest Power

You might have heard about "an incredible love story" that is distributed through email. It is about a story of a couple that lives on the mountain. Out of his love to his wife, the husband hand-carved over 6000 stairs up on mountain. For complete story read here

Some started to argued that this story did not happened. Fair enough to doubt the existency of such incredible tale that proclaim the infinite power of love.

However this evening, I watched the television and found out there is a man named Dasharath Manjhi, that "moved" mountain because of his love to his wife. The following is quoted from expressindia.com:

Dashrath Manjhi was born in 1934 into a poor labourer's family in Gahlour village near Gaya in Bihar. Being illiterate, there seemed little option left for him but to spend his life working in the fields. He started working in the fields near a hill which rose on one side of his village. To cross the mountain, one had to traverse a narrow and treacherous pass.

One day, when his wife, Phaguni Devi, was crossing the pass to bring him his lunch, she slipped and hurt herself. This incident disturbed Das deeply and that very night he decided to destroy the hill which had injured his wife. The next morning, armed with t a hammer and chisel, he started off on a task that was to become an obsession. ``The villagers called me a madman'', recalls Dashrath Das.

With such story, I recalled the preaching by Fritz Macarena during the Evangelization Seminar organized by SACCRE

Love is the greatest power. Because when we love someone, no sacrifice is too great
